Javascript / HTML / CSS Front-End Superstar

Scoopler is looking for a front-end ninja.

Scoopler Inc. is about to launch an exciting new product, which brings a refreshing real-time and social twist to the Celebrity & Entertainment News space. Using the technology and expertise built over the past two years in real-time search, Scoopler will do what no one has done in celebrity news in a decade - change it.

To get there, Scoopler needs rock-star front-end developers to build a wide array of features for the web and mobile web.

Scoopler is a Y-Combinator-backed company, whose investors include Ron Conway, Michael Birch and Avalon Ventures. Since launching in May 2009, we have been consistently named as one of the top 3 real-time search engines. Scoopler is now leveraging its technology for a new venture in celebrity news.
 

What we're looking for:
Rockstar at building awesome HTML, CSS, Javascript not restrained by "that web 2.0 look". Reliable. Timely.

Responsibilities:

• Build and rapidly iterate on product feature set
• Work with QA to ensure browser compatability (except IE6!)
• Develop mobile web formatted site
• Work with product manager to assess feasibility and priority of new features.

Qualifications:

• Object-oriented JavaScript experience.
• A keen design sense.
• Expertise in advanced AJAX techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of CSS/HTML, DOM structure and manipulation.
• Experience with at least one scripting language (i.e. Python/Ruby/PHP)
• Ability to solve challenging coding problems and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic startup environment.
