Scoopler is looking for a talented Software Engineer with experience coding in Python

Scoopler Inc. is about to launch an exciting new product Justspotted.com, which brings a refreshing real-time and social twist to the Celebrity & Entertainment News space. Using the technology and expertise built over the past two years in real-time search, Scoopler will do what no one has done in celebrity news in a decade - change it.

To get there, Scoopler needs rock-star developers to build a wide array of features for the web and mobile web.

What we're looking for:

As you will be one of our first hires, you must be eager to take on a lot of responsibility from day one and have strong personal initiative.  You need to be a smart, highly motivated and extremely talented engineer.  You will be working mostly in Python, so previous experience is an advantage.  However, as a generalist you need to be flexible and ready to work on whatever is needed, so the ability to pick up new skills quickly is essential.  So, if you're excited by real-time data (and celebrities) and you want to help us lead the way in this exciting space, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to product design and implementation discussions.
• Develop new products and features.
• Iterate on parts of our existing data pipeline.
• Test code before and after production release.
• Help create scalable infrastructure for our back-end.

Qualifications:

• Experience coding in Python - please point us to projects you've already worked on.
• Comfortable working with Linux based web servers.
• Ready to learn new programming languages quickly where required.
• Understanding of scalability, systems engineering and algorithms.
• Proven track record of solving challenging coding problems.
