Scoopler is looking for a talented Search Engineer with Lucene/Solr experience
Scoopler is a San Francisco based company, leading the real-time search revolution. We're looking for a talented search engineer to help build out our search infrastructure.
About Scoopler:
Scoopler is a Y-Combinator backed company, whose investors include Ron Conway, Michael Birch and Avalon Ventures. Our mission is to organize all the live content on the web and make it searchable in real-time. Since launching in May 2009, we have been consistently named as one of the top 3 real-time search engines and we're passionate about pushing innovation in this exciting new field.
What we're looking for:
As one of our first hires, you must be willing to take on a lot of responsibility from day one, as you will be helping to shape a core part of Scoopler's product. Whether it's a status update on Twitter, a live video on Justin.tv or a photo that someone has just taken on their iPhone, we want to make sense of it. Indexing and retrieving all this content in real-time poses some new and interesting technical problems which you need to be excited about solving. If you've had experience working in search and are looking for a fresh and challenging opportunity in a young and ambitious start-up, then we want to hear from you.
